1. Acceptance of the Terms of Service

Welcome to Pixel Pie (a.k.a. “I” or the “Company”). The following terms and conditions (collectively, these “Terms of Service”) apply to your use of www.pixelpie.co.uk, including any content, functionality and services offered on or via pixelpie.co.uk (the “Website”). This Terms of Service also includes my Privacy and Cookies Policy.

By using the Website you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Service. Should you disagree with some of the provisions herein, you can either leave the Website (although I’ll be sad to see you go!), or contact me at paul@pixelpie.co.uk.

2. Changes to the Terms of Service and the Website

I reserve the right to update the Website and these Terms of Service from time to time, at my discretion and without notice. Nevertheless, this document is public on Pixel Pie, and you will be able to track the changes for any new version. Your continued use of the Website following the publishing of updated Terms of Service means that you accept and agree to the changes.

3. Intellectual Property Rights and Use Guidelines

The Website and its entire content, features and functionality (including look), are owned by Pixel Pie and are protected by United Kingdom and international copyright and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws. So you agree to not copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, any of my copyrighted material, except to the extent permitted by the Website itself. If you want to use any material on the Website for you own needs, please contact paul@pixelpie.co.uk beforehand for permission.

For purposes of these Terms of Service, the term “Content” includes, without limitation, information, data, text, photographs, videos, audio clips, written posts and comments, software, scripts, graphics, and interactive features generated, provided, or otherwise made accessible on or through the Website.

Content is protected by copyright, or other proprietary rights and laws. You shall abide by and maintain all copyright notices, information, and restrictions contained in any Content accessed through the Website.

4. Accessibility

The Website has been created with the user in mind. Each page has been specifically designed to allow for maximum legibility and ease of navigation. Information is clearly presented and accessibile to screen reading software with a clear and easy level of usability designed to suit all. Pages are coded in web standard HTML 5 with complementary CSS used to add an extra level of decoration and functionality.

Additional cosmetic enhancements have been added using Javascript. Although viewing is recommended in the latest version of any modern browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer, compatibility should date back to earlier versions – such as Internet Explorer 7.

Note: Internet Explorer version 6 is no longer supported by Microsoft and is not compatible with certain elements of this site.

I have done everything I can to make sure the Website adheres to at least Priority 1 of the Web Accessibility Guidelines set out at W3C and where possible I have made sure it also adheres to Priority 2. 5. Accessing the Website, Security and Privacy

I can’t guarantee that the Website will be up and running 24/7 and will not be liable if for any reason all or any part of the Website is unavailable at any time or for any period, nor for any data loss. I also do not guarantee that the Website or any content provided on the Website is error free. I manage any personal data you enter into the site according to my Privacy Policy.

6. Privacy Policy

I value my visitors’ privacy. This privacy policy summarizes what information I might collect from a visitor and what I will and will not do with it. Please note that this privacy policy does not govern the collection and use of information by companies that Pixel Pie does not control. If you visit a Web site that I mention or link to, be sure to review its privacy policy before providing the site with information.

What I do with your personally identifiable information

If you do provide personally identifiable information to me, either directly or through a third party website, I will:

not sell or rent it to a third party without your permission;

take commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction;

  • to outside auditors who have agreed to keep the information confidential;
  • as necessary to enforce the Terms of Service;

Other information I collect

I may collect other information that cannot be readily used to identify you, such as (for example) the IP address of your computer. I may use this information, individually or in the aggregate, for technical administration of my Website; research and development; customer- and account administration; and to help me focus my marketing efforts more precisely.
